Locally Administered Scholarships
The Chapter funds locally administered scholarships for San Diego County students attending the University of Nebraska. This is separate and in addition to the program discussed in the following paragraph. Both incoming freshman and upper classmen are eligible. These awards are typically between $500 and $1000 depending on the funds available to the Chapter. The application period runs from March 1st to June 30th of each year for the next academic year. The Chapter is also proud to collaborate with the University of Nebraska Foundation in underwriting 2 scholarships in the amount of $1000 each to be awarded annually to an applicant for the fall freshman class residing in San Diego County. All San Diego County applicants for the fall class are automatically considered for that award during the University’s admission process and a separate application is not needed.
